WordPress SEO: The Facts That You Need To KnowLet’s face it; many are not happy with their organic or natural search engine rankings. And these are the same people who are obsessing about gaining high ranks in the search engines.

The logic is simple, if you are dead serious about attaining high ranks in the search engines that you desire – invest more time, energy and resources to get what you want.

Maybe at this point, you are already decided to invest for some good SEO. That means you have to understand that the most important thing in SEO is to find out what keywords are your target market looking for. Because, in SEO the CLIENT is your PRIORITY.

After you have identified the keywords and information your target market seeks for, the next step is to create valuable content for your client.

  • Create high quality, catchy, interesting and very useful content.
  • Create more high quality, catchy, interesting and very useful content.
  • While at it, create more high quality, catchy, interesting and very useful content.

The point is simple. It doesn’t take skyrocket science to explain that all you need is quality articles. Good writing and nothing more but good writing that is relevant to your clients. Finding the right keywords and writing some relevant content about is SEO – soon rankings will naturally happen. But, of course it takes time and effort – lots of it! Your goal is simple; you want the visitors to steer away from that back button. And with the passion to create engaging content that persuades each visitor to click that contact button you can achieve what you want.

Sadly, not everyone is willing to spend much on that department. Patience and perseverance is a gift not everyone is blessed with. They opt for these shortcuts that give them no favourable results:

  1. Changing keywords, descriptions and titles hoping that it will lead them to the high ranks in search engines – A change in the keywords, descriptions and titles alone does not guarantee positive results. Descriptions and titles should always be page specific.
  2. More blogs means higher ranks! Quality content works, nonsensical regurgitated ones does not. Blogging per se does not improve ones ranks. Quality overrides quantity in SEO.
  3. Linking to everyone – Google is smart enough to identify that you are linking to unrelated websites that gives no value.

The truth is, you, without the professional help of SEO specialists can SEO your WordPress website. So that, the target market that you’ve been eyeing can find you. Just write about what they want.

Attention SEO Companies – Google is Watching

The Google Webmaster Help forums shared a valuable lesson this month. Google will make a fool out of you and call you out if you are suspicious or less reputed SEO Company.

SEO companiesThe conversation began innocently when a webmaster questioned the legitimacy of a company named Better Placement. The company promises to provide guaranteed first placement in Google and claims to be the first company which has the authority to work directly with Google.

JohnMu, a Google searcher made it clear to the webmaster stating that Google does not accept any money to position and that no one can guarantee rankings. After this, JohnMu helpfully directed the Webmaster to a guide of selecting one of the reputed SEO companies.

After a short while, another user named “bruben25″ came in to the forum and defended the company and its actions, and posted that it was all a misunderstanding. He took a strong stand in favor of the company which was agreed to be practicing unethically. This created a debate between him and the rest of the forum. The user was asked if he was affiliated with the company but he continuously denied saying that he was not affiliated or linked with the Better Placement in any way. The argument made its way to the Google employee Matt Cutts.

After some arguments between the user bruben25 and the rest of the forum members, Matt Cutts, a famous Google employee, decided to pay a visit to the forum. After educating him of the argument between bruben25 and the rest of the forum members, he posted the comments which are as follows.

As a Google employee based in the United States he said that he will surely avoid Better Placement. He stated that the first thing which he saw when he visited better placement.info was the words “Guaranteed First Page Placement on Google.” That is a big cautionary sign instantly on paying visit to better placement.info. Mr. Cutts further stated that the cause of worry that Better Placement put those words (in an image) on better placement.info is due to the fact that the Google’s official documentation mentions to beware of SEOs which promises to guarantee rankings, or advertise a “priority submit” to Google” or allege a “special relationship” with Google. On learning this, bruben25 questioned the legitimacy of Matt Cutts’ who enjoys Google Employee status. Bruben25 went forward to state that he tried to find information on Matt but was not able to find any information regarding Matt.

Finally Matt brought the whole conversation to an end by linking official Ohio Records which stated that B.D.Ruben is one of the agents of Better Placement with the email address betterplacement25@gmail.com. He concluded his post saying that there is no need for further evidence and his stand to avoid Better Placement is absolutely correct.

The Lesson Be cautious while making any promises to the potential clients in the sales copy. After the comments posted by Mr. Matt, Better Placement removed the first spot guarantee and made amendments on their page which stated that they are not providing anything related to SEO and that they understand placement or ranking is something which no company can guarantee with certainty.
