4 Common Plugin Problems
1. Postie plugin – As reported, this specific plugin is usually causing problems such as being presented with a “white screen” after upgrading or keeps the user from getting to the Dashboard. The reason for this could be due to plugins that remained active when the upgrade was performed.
What to do? Rename the plugin directory to plugins-old located in ./wp-content/plugins on your webserver, then create a new directory. Log in and click on Plugins from your main menu. Go to Dashboard and click on Updates and Reinstall WordPress 3.3. After completing the installation, delete the ./wp-content/plugins and rename plugins-old to plugins. Finally, reactive each plugin and ensure that all the blogs work successfully.
2. qTranslate – This plugin usually disable itself upon activation.
3. Organize Series plugin
4. Markdown QuickTags plugin
Note: It is suggested that developers must use wp_enqueue_scripts. Now if you have enqueue styles in your plugin or theme, it’s best to update it to usewp_enqueue_scripts so you don’t mess up styles on your Dashboard.
